chris tylerChris Tyler – President

After starting his career Foseco International Ltd in the UK he was transferred to their US base in Cleveland in 1969, later becoming Technical Sales Engineer for in Detroit. In 1974, Chris was appointed Sales and Marketing Manager of Dynacast International Ltd, a precision die casting company, manufacturing in 10 countries. During his 22-year tenure he held General Management positions in Milan, Montreal and Chicago. 

He formed their Magnetic Material Division in Chicago and led the acquisition of two flexible ferrite magnet companies in Ohio, which were combined to become Flexmag Industries Inc.

In 1995 Chris was appointed president and CEO of Stackpole Magnets, later renamed Kane Magnetics. He was responsible for expanding the company both organically and through the acquisition of two magnet companies in Sheffield UK and Dijon France.  He went on to establish TyTek in 2001.

 

 

Mark Sweatman – Technical Director

Mark has worked in a broad spectrum of industries, and successfully met and exceeded a vast variety of customer requirements and expectations. 

For Dynacast Inc. he had full responsibility for operations and performance of a QS9000 certified die casting facility. The plant specialized in high volume quantities of medium to miniature size components for a diverse market. 

He has deep knowledge and experience in the highly specialized, but crucial, area of product design, material selection, tooling and process design.

Mark has technical responsibility for all of TyTek's businesses. He interfaces with customers on their product design and material selection needs. His services continue as he works with suppliers on tooling and process design.

 

James Tyler – Vice President

James interned at a start-up tech company in the tradeshow industry while in college, but instead of spending his time there fetching coffee, he immersed himself in the business. 

The result was a full time marketing/sales position immediately after graduation. James was part of the six-person sales team that took sales of that small company from $2.5 million to $10 million in just 18 months.

At the end of 2007, he joined TyTek Industries as Business Development Manager liaising with new and existing customers and developing new business opportunities across the globe.

James travels extensively for TyTek domestically and also in Asia, Europe and South America and his drive and vision has been instrumental in the exponential growth of the businesses.

He has an MBA from the University of Cincinnati.

 

Matt Eccles – Marketing Director

Following a degree in Communications, Matt marketed brands at the start of the dot.com boom before forging a career both in the UK Government and the private sector. 

Working for the Manufacturing Advisory Service he gained a deep understanding of industry and was instrumental in helping SME business leaders to realise how customer insight could drive business growth in challenging economic conditions.

Moving into consultancy his three-tiered strategy of awareness, acquisition and advocacy led to unrivalled opportunities to see (awareness), contract wins (acquisition) and awards success and referrals (advocacy).

After working with TyTek to develop their brand in 2015, he was delighted to accept an offer to join full-time in 2016 and is based in the company’s UK office in the heart of the country’s industrial base.

 

Joanna Tyler – Marketing Executive

Joanna’s background in advertising and promotions led her to a job in the marketing department of TyTek Group.  She has worked on campaigns for P&G, Cintas, GM, Ford and Pepsi Cola.  This world was a natural fit following her university education in theatre.

She is proud to be the female voice (using either her British or American accents) for Cincinnati Playhouse in Park, one of the USA’s first regional theatres, on their digital streaming, radio and television adverts for over a decade.  

Joanna joined TyTek in 2015. She is responsible for organising and overseeing the global events for all of the companies in the group and works on customer insight, brand development and social media.

 

Alice Shen - Manager of TyTek Asia

Alice graduated from college in 2003 after majoring in Business English. Initially she worked as a translator for a domestic construction company, but she wanted to use the skills she had learnt in the international arena. Alice progressed in factories and trading companies, before joining and now she manages the TyTek Asia Office.

TyTek Asia office was set up in 2006. All employees speak both Chinese and English. Alice works closely with factories making ideas a reality. She oversees raw materials, manufacturing processes, packaging, printing and lead times. She also handles product inspection, monitors shipment loading and conducts supplier audits. Ultimately, it is Alice’s responsibility to deliver ideal products to our clients in a timely fashion.

 

Amanda Cannell - Office Operations Manager

Amanda is responsible for general accounting, order fulfillment, logistics, customer service, and operational development. She brings over seven years of project management experience in the field of manufacturing and business development as well as marketing, sales, community outreach, website development and program management. As a results oriented manager Amanda holds fast to the belief that ‘an organized office is an efficient office’.

Beyond her role at TyTek Amanda enjoys working on projects that spark creativity. She grew up in the USAF moving from state-to-state until finally settling in Alaska where she discovered her love for entrepreneurship and talent for business management. Amanda moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in the summer of 2012 and quickly fell in love with the culture and architecture.

 

Joy MooneyJoy Mooney - Office Administrative Coordinator

Joy is responsible for general administration, sales, order processing, customer service and accounts receivable.  With a double major in Communication Studies and Public Relations she brings a fresh outlook to the table. 

Her various experience in non-profit and for-profit organizations has provided her with exceptional experience in account management, coordination, and corporate communications.

This passionate, hardworking young woman is inspired by the life around her, which has led to her success in and out of the office.
